By the end of September 2024, nearly 400 1000 Poles urgently request to update their disability decisions and parking cards. Otherwise, they may lose their powers. The upcoming deadline has sparked immense queues in offices, and the ministry calls for swift action.
Who are the changes in regulations?
Changes due to Laws on peculiar Solutions for the Validity of Disability Decisions and parking cards that entered into force on 19 December 2023. Under the fresh rules, all disability and disability rulings that expired or are to expire between 5 August 2023 and 30 September 2024, expire precisely on September 30, 2024.
This means that persons whose disability rulings have expired during this period must submit fresh applications to hold the right to benefits and another privileges, specified as parking cards.
Why should we act now?
With each day approaching the end of September, more and more people apply for renewal of their rights. Thousands of Poles visit offices all day, leading to long queues and crucial delays in service. According to the Ministry, in many cities the waiting time for the examination of the application is respective weeks.
