On Thursday, around 15:17 local time, there was a chopper crash on the Hudson River, on the border between fresh York and fresh Jersey. According to fresh York City mayor Eric Adams, there was a household of 5 tourists from Spain on board the helicopter, including 3 children, and a pilot. Unfortunately, they all died in the crash.
Conduct of events
According to witness reports, the helicopter's impact on the water was preceded by an different bang. Witnesses said they saw parts of the chopper in 2 different locations. The chopper fell into a river off the coast of fresh Jersey, close the Holland tunnel in Hoboken. NYPD units, fire brigades and another services responded to the call and set off for rescue.
Rescue actions
NYPD divers entered the water along with rescue personnel from FDNY and Port Authority. NYPD divers pulled 4 people out of the crash site, and FDNY divers recovered another two. Victims were transported to ships at the scene and at the adjacent wharf, where rescue operations were immediately undertaken. Unfortunately, 4 victims were found dead at the scene and 2 more were transported to local hospitals where they died from injuries.

U.S. president Donald Trump expressed his condolences to loved ones, calling the event a "terrible disaster". "A terrible chopper crash on the Hudson River. It seems that six people – pilot, 2 adults and 3 children – left. The footage from the scene is shocking. God bless the families and friends of the victims," Trump wrote on the community platform fact Social.

A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the FBI. Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, along with his squad of experts, is on the case.
