Fr.Dr. Jarosław Wąsowicz was appointed chaplain of the president of Poland Karol Nawrocki. He is simply a clergyman who has been working at the interface of faith, past and patriotism for years. Wąsowicz is simply a figure well known not only in Salesian environments, but besides among people active in historical memory. He is simply a doctor habilitated in the teachings of the humanities, a specialist from the past of the Church in the times of communism, as well as an author and editor of many publications on the martyrdom of the clergy.
He has besides been a social individual for years. It organizes humanitarian aid for Poles in the Borderlands, patriotic pilgrimages and local memory initiatives. Through any media he is criticized, but does not retreat from what he does. On the contrary, he considers this as his vocation.

The fresh chaplain of the president was associated with the Institute of National Memory for many years, co-organising the ceremony of “Inka” and “Zagończyk” in 2016. He besides served as vice-postulator in the beatification process of 108 planet War II martyrs. As a priest, he combines historical cognition with pastoral and social commitment.
Among the distinctions he received are, among others, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polish Revival, the Golden Cross of Merit, the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity, the Medal “Pro Bono Poloniae” and the title “Man of the Year 2022” awarded by the Clubs “Gazeta Polskiej”.
The fresh function is to proceed his mission – this time closer to the highest state authorities.
