The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) decided to suspend the recruitment of applications for backing for electrical cars under the leasing path. This temporary interruption applies from 1 September 2024 to 31 December 2024 and is due to the exhaustion of the allocation in the program "My Elektik", which amounted to PLN 660 million.
Reasons for stopping recruitment
As stressed by the NFOŚiGW, the decision to interrupt the selection of applications in the lease way is linked to work on a fresh programme documentation, which aims to get a fresh origin of backing for the ‘My Electric’ programme. The Fund shall guarantee that the recruitment of applications for the leasing of vehicles is resumed in 2025 and that the fresh recruitment besides covers the eligibility period for the second half of 2024.
"The interruption in the selection of applications in the leasing way is linked to the preparation of programme documentation for the fresh origin of backing for the 'My Electrician' programme. The recruitment of vehicle leasing applications in the programme will be resumed utilizing a fresh backing origin in 2025. The fresh recruitment will besides cover the eligibility period of the second half of 2024" – the NFOŚiGW Communication.
Continuation of calls in another paths
Despite the temporary suspension of recruitment in the lease path, The Fund continues to recruit vehicles purchased for cash or credit. This applies to individuals and entrepreneurs alike.
Funding for individuals
Funding for electrical cars for individual customers is PLN 18 750, the price of the vehicle may not exceed PLN 225 thousand. In the case of the holders of the Large household Card, the grant can amount to PLN 27 thousand, without the limit of the price of the vehicle. presently there is inactive PLN 25 million to be used.
The Fund recalls that individuals may apply for backing for the acquisition of an electrical passenger car.
Co-financing for entrepreneurs
For entrepreneurs, grants are available for the acquisition of electrical vehicles, with almost PLN 90 million left for use. In the case of commercial vehicles, the backing depends on the yearly course and amounts to up to 20% or 30% of the eligible costs, but not more than PLN 50 1000 or PLN 70 thousand. For passenger cars, the grant is PLN 18,750, with a limit of PLN 225,000. The subsidy for vehicles of category L1e-L7e (motorcycles, mopeds) is up to PLN 4 thousand.
Increase the budget of My Electrician
At the beginning of July 2024, the budget of the "My Elektra" programme was increased by an additional PLN 60 million, allowing for further backing of the programmes until the available funds were exhausted.
Objective of aid
The aid for the acquisition of electrical vehicles is introduced with a view to ‘to combat global warming’ and ‘to reduce emissions’. These activities are aimed at supporting the energy transition and expanding the share of green means of transport on Polish roads.
