Emirates Retrofitted Boeing 777 Routes
Seoul becomes the second East Asian destination to receive Emirates’ retrofitted aircraft featuring the award-winning Premium Economy class and newly configured Business Class cabin.
By July 2025, Emirates will offer more than 3,150 weekly Premium Economy seats on eastbound routes across six key destinations in Southeast and East Asia, including Tokyo-Narita, Tokyo-Haneda, Osaka, Singapore, Seoul, and Shenzhen, using a combination of Boeing 777s and A380s.
London Stansted joins London Heathrow and Edinburgh as the third UK destination showcasing Emirates’ latest generation products. The airline’s network of European destinations served by the four-class Boeing 777 also includes Brussels, Geneva, Zurich, Vienna, and Athens.
The retrofitted Boeing 777 features Emirates’ signature Premium Economy cabins that blend accessible luxury with comfort. Select aircraft include First Class Gamechanger suites offering unparalleled luxury.
All cabin classes benefit from upgraded interiors featuring new design elements, modern color palettes, specially designed Ghaf Tree motifs, and refined wood finishes throughout the aircraft.

Biggest Retrofit Programme in the World
Emirates Airlines is investing approximately $5 billion to retrofit its existing aircraft fleet, a strategic response to ongoing supply chain disruptions plaguing the aviation industry. The Dubai-based carrier aims to maintain operational efficiency while navigating manufacturing delays affecting new aircraft deliveries.
Company President Tim Clark unveiled the comprehensive retrofit strategy during a meeting with journalists in Berlin, highlighting the airline’s proactive approach to managing fleet challenges. Clark directly addressed the supply chain complications, stating, “We’ve had to take control of our own destiny.”
The retrofit initiative focuses primarily on the airline’s Airbus A380 jumbo jets and Boeing 777 aircraft. Emirates will upgrade these planes at its engineering facilities in Dubai, implementing new cabin interiors and critical system enhancements designed to extend their operational lifespan.
