EasyJet Cuts Paris Orly Flights

Low-cost airline easyJet (U2) will cease flights between Paris Orly (ORY) and two UK airports, Bristol (BRS) and Manchester (MAN), starting March 28.

The decision follows a strategic review of route performance, with the airline prioritizing routes that attract more passengers.

Although easyJet is cutting these connections, travelers from Bristol and Manchester will still have access to Paris through daily flights to Charles de Gaulle (CDG), the city’s primary international airport.

According to The Connexion, a spokesperson for the airline emphasized that easyJet is focusing on maintaining and expanding services where demand is strongest.

The only remaining UK flight to Paris Orly this summer will operate from Southampton (SOU) on Mondays and Fridays, launching in March.

Rethinking Routes

The route cancellations come amid broader adjustments to easyJet’s operations in France. Last year, the airline announced plans to close its base in Toulouse by April 2025.

While easyJet has not entirely withdrawn from the city, it has significantly reduced the number of flights departing from Toulouse.

Despite these reductions, the airline has also introduced new seasonal flights between France and the UK, along with other international destinations, demonstrating a flexible approach to route management.

UK travelers have additional convenient options for reaching Paris. Eurostar’s high-speed rail service provides a direct, comfortable journey from London to Paris, eliminating the need for airport security checks and offering a scenic travel experience.

This option is particularly beneficial for those who prefer a more flexible and stress-free itinerary.

Additionally, several competing airlines continue to operate flights to Paris from various UK airports, giving passengers multiple choices.

With various airlines servicing the UK-Paris route, travelers can compare ticket prices and flight schedules to select the most suitable option for their needs.

Future Outlook for easyJet Passengers

As easyJet adjusts its flight network, passengers are encouraged to consider different travel options to reach Paris.

Whether choosing alternative airports, flying with competing airlines, or taking the high-speed train, travelers can maintain convenient access to the French capital.

EasyJet’s decision to refine its route offerings aligns with its strategy to meet customer demand while ensuring operational efficiency.

By streamlining its network, the airline seeks to maintain profitability and continue offering competitive fares.

Passengers are advised to stay informed about flight schedules and make travel plans accordingly to take full advantage of the available options.
