Dr. Daniel Alain Korona, erstwhile anti-communist opposition activist, detained on 11 November 1986, present a typical of the “Korona” trade union of agriculture, erstwhile politicians celebrate, in an interview with our portal he powerfully states that Poland is not an independent country.

Today November 11th independency Day, authoritative celebrations, but you do not attend them. Why?

Because it's all a large fake. Poland is not truly an independent country, I will say more provocatively – there is most likely little sovereignty today, independency than in 1986 erstwhile I was detained.

What do you mean?

Already in 2017, or during the governments of the PIS (and nothing has changed after the change of government in this respect) I stated that Poland is not a full sovereign country. Yes, after 1989 the yoke of dependence on the russian Union was dropped, but at the same time it was turned into a subordinate to the West. There is no law in Poland that would not be assessed for compliance with European Union rules, and many laws are the implementation of EU directives. As a result, norms and regulations, any absurd, contrary to the interests of our country, with the social interest or with average common sense, become applicable law in Poland. For years too, our home industrial possible has been destroyed, despite the negative social and economical consequences. In the times of the proverbial commune, yes, there were ideological issues, but in the case of most laws, the USSR did not mix, at least at the end of the Polish People's Republic?

But Poles can choose the president, MPs, senators. And we don't have sovereignty?

Yes. It's all just functions, I've said it before – the president doesn't know what he's signing, the legislature doesn't know what he's approving or rejecting, the parliament doesn't know what he's passing, the council of ministers doesn't know what he's putting forward or what he's accepting, the minister doesn't know what he's managing or putting forward to the council of ministers, and the officials don't really know what they've prepared. These rules are besides much, there is no real discussion on them, they are complex, incomprehensible, unclear, opaque, cascading (referring to the next legislation) and are besides dependent on different EU legislation. So it's all appearance. There are more and more restrictions, requirements and criminal rules.

On 11 November 1986, you were detained by a safety guard. So was it worth working for the independency of Poland, since it is not there today?

Good question. From the position of present – it seems that possibly it was pointless. I was detained, convicted, the SB set up an operational check-up case in which action was taken to discredit and neutralise me. The court in the III Polish Republic found that I acted for the independency of Poland but at the same time a certain state institution, services and 1 of the media tried to throw mud at me, in connection with my activity at the time, completely reversing my role.

But possibly there's hope?

She's always here. possibly what we have yet failed, the fresh generation can achieve. The question is whether society has a will and is able to fight for independence? We'll see.
