Law on the strategy of common courts. A full of 137 judges execute this function. Under the Law, candidates for disciplinary judges must have at least a ten-year stint as judge.
The word of office of a justice of the Disciplinary Court at the Court of Appeal and at the Military territory Court shall be six years. The performance of the duties of a disciplinary justice shall be independent of the performance of the service function by the judge.
At the turn of June and July 2024, 129 disciplinary judges ended their word of office. The Ministry of Justice asked the Presidents of the Courts of Appeal and the Military territory Courts to appoint fresh candidates.

Judges were appointed as judges of the Disciplinary Courts, who did not take part in the competition procedure before the National Judicial Council, incorrectly shaped under the Act of 8.12.2017. The Minister of Justice remains in the position that any case of faulty appointment of a justice makes doubtful the presumption of his impartiality and independency in exercising the office of justice of the Disciplinary Court. Another accepted selection criterion was to entrust the duties of a justice of the Disciplinary Court to those judges who did not participate in the successive changes carried out over the past 8 years by the legislative and executive powers in the area of judicial power whose sole intent was to undermine the independency of the courts and undermine the independency of the judiciary. An example of specified activities was, among another things, the signing of a letter of support to judges, who are candidates for the National Judicial Council, which was shaped incorrectly, under the Act of 8.12.2017.
