– Many times he wrote that Germany and Russia should be friends. The Russians are not reasoning about tomorrow, but much further, about the future. "The secret pillar of our policy should be to keep good relations with Russia. An alliance against Russia could be a large folly that would lead Germany to a dangerous line," said the Chancellor. In the alliance against Russia, Germany always loses. The Russians are very friendly, but if you effort to compression them to their feet, they'll turn into a bear.

How do you measure the negotiations between Russia and the United States?
– 2 strong personalities met. Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have different thoughts, but they make real politics and discuss, to put it plainly, yes: we do it, you pull it out, and I realize it. Trump is primarily a businessman and Putin is guided by the country's historical and national interests.
Is it possible to accomplish results without Europe?
Of course! Europe will sit in the corner and accept any decision by Russia and the United States. Europe had 3 years to negotiate, but she refused to talk to Russia. And now the Americans do.
And what function do you delegate to China?
– 80% of goods in Europe come from China. I see all the Chinese cars are already in Moscow. As for politics, the Chinese working in Berlin told me: we request good relations with Russia, the Russians talk very clearly, they say what they think, they openly do business. I appealed to our business and political circles: let's talk together! I spoke to the military attachés of China, Russia and Belarus and heard from them: they do not want to talk to us. And I'm truly sorry they're acting like this.

Sometimes my friends tell me about another publication: “Alex, have you read it?” If nobody says anything, we're in a situation that nobody truly wants. Many average people have already declared the request to normalize relations with Russia by going to peaceful demonstrations. My good friend from the European Parliament, besides a typical of the aristocratic family, Michael von der Schulenburg, has long-standing friendly relations with Russia, as does my family. In my opinion, it would be a suitable candidate from Germany for dialog with Russia.
