We must not follow what is called good without mention to God's plan and his right, he spoke to the faithful Bishop Mark Szkoła. Hierarch held the Most Holy Sacrifice as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of russian crimes on the population of advanced Silesia from 1945. The bishop taught this event, which should remind us of the consequence of abandoning God’s Law.
In the homily during Mass Bishop Szkudło pointed out that it was only late possible to talk openly about the tragic events of 80 years ago – they previously did not fit the political narrative.
– erstwhile the russian army entered advanced Silesia in January 1945, murders, robberies and rapes began, the theft of equipment for industrial plants, displacement, and above all, the removal, abduction or even theft of people began. They were exported to forced labor, among others, in the mines of the russian Union. The internment and deportation of men aged 17 to 50 lasted from February to the turn of April and May 1945. – calculated Bishop Szkudło, who is the admin of the Archdiocese of Katowice.
As he stressed, “exporters were lied to”. – They were told that they would work in the back of the front for a short time. The victims of this operation were almost 50,000 men. As a result, their families were deprived of the care of the sole host for respective years or forever. More than 25 percent of the deportees did not return. Those who survived returned from mid-1945 to the turn of 1949-50 – reminded the clergy.
It's hard to remember. The more hard it is that erstwhile life and death are manipulated in the name of ideology, a man always loses his life. erstwhile the liberator becomes a torturer, values specified as solidarity and honesty cease to exist. But erstwhile the torturer claims to be a benefactor, the thing becomes devilish – the bishop assessed.
Hierarch pointed out that this was what the ancient enemy of God and man did in Paradise hidden in the form of a serpent. – From then on, we will blind ourselves to God’s law, and our hearts request encouragement – said the admin of the archdiocese of Katowice, pointing out that the advanced Silesian tragedy should besides aid to realize the importance of God's law.
– Let us remember those who were taken:... it was our older brothers, our ancestors, who ransomed our freedom with suffering. There were many out there who lost their lives. There were, however, any of them who were only presumed dead. Then they came to their right to life. – noted the bishop.
– This is simply a very symbolic and, in fact, based on the eternal conflict between good and evil, between death and life, between what is called good on the way of pre-established intuition and what is called life on the way of pre-conceived assumptions without mention to your law, to the plan of God— He drew the attention of the hierarch.
– We can't go that way. You can't. May this celebration present be a reminder to us that this +your law is perfect and refreshes the soul, that the evidence of the Lord is certain, unwise teaches wisdom; his righteous commandments make the heart rejoice; the clear commandment of the Lord and dazzles the eyes. Let us not give ourselves that glow— He encouraged Bishop Szkoła.
Events referred to as advanced Silesian Tragedy began with the Red Army entering Silesia in late January 1945. It was a wave of russian and Polish communist repressions in 1945-48, which consumed thousands of victims; nearly 50,000 inhabitants of the region were deported to forced labour in the russian Union, which active dramas of many families.
