In an interview with American tv Newsmax president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenka was asked, among others, whether Belarus is ready to give shelter to Nicolas Maduro if he resigns from the office of president of Venezuela.
Lukashenko: Maduro was never our enemy or our adversary. Never! If he wanted to come to Belarus, our doors are always open to him. But honestly, we never talked about it! Maduro is not a man who throws everything and runs away. He's a strong man like Hugo Chávez. He's a strong man, a decent and reasonable man who can be talked to and made a deal with.

Newsmax tv is an American tv channel owned by Newsmax, termed conservative, protrumpian, right-wing[6] and far-right[18]. The network focuses mainly on talk-show programmes based on political opinions. It broadcasts a message/talk format around the clock, and offers papers and videos on weekends.
The channel was created by American writer and president of Newsmax, Christopher Ruddy. It was launched on 16 June 2014 and reached 35 million satellite subscribers via DirectTV and Dish Network.[19] In May 2019, the network reached about 75 million households utilizing cable tv and offered wide access to streaming and digital media players and mobile devices.[20] The channel broadcasts mainly from Newsmax's studio in East Manhattan, fresh York, based in Boca Raton, Florida and Washington.[21][22][citation needed]

On 25 January 2023 Newsmax tv was removed from the satellite and streaming versions of DirecTV and U-verse after the broadcast contract expired; the network sought to control from paying DirecTV for transmission to a retransmission agreement.[50] DirecTV then replaced Newsmax tv with a competitive conservative network of The First TV.[51] Although DirecTV is not legally required to broadcast cable tv news channels of different political programs, this peculiar transmission dispute has been faced with harsh criticism from conservative legislators specified as Florida politician Ron DeSantis, who described the dispute as “censorship”.[52] DirecTV and Newsmax settled the dispute on 22 March 2023[53]
The retransmission agreement between Newsmax and DirecTV and another entities obliged the company to halt free streaming and simultaneously issue its information channel, which took place on 1 November 2023. alternatively of free, commercial-supported streaming tv providers, Newsmax launched the “Newsmax2” service, which includes header summaries and shorter portions of Newsmax programs. Newsmax+ was then launched as a paid monthly subscription offering a conventional channel, now only available to pay-TV providers.[5]
