During the preparation of the material in Żara, Marcin Jakóbczyk and the tv crew were brutally attacked by a man who introduced himself as the owner of the building. Everything was recorded on the video, which was published in the program "Note!". According to data, the attack took place in November 2022, and the case is inactive ongoing.
The developer, who builds apartments in Żara, had problems with future tenants who claim that the investment, which was to be completed on the given date, is inactive not ready. Additionally, contact with the company liable for selling the property is virtually impossible. Krystian, 1 of the future tenants, told in the program “Note!” that “there is no contact with the developer. He does not go to call erstwhile he shows up at the construction site, he inactive avoids talking, he runs distant to not talk at all."
In Poland, force against journalists is increasingly common. According to the Polish Journalists Association, more than 100 cases of force against journalists were recorded in 2022. This means that all day, about 0.3% of journalists in Poland experience violence.
Marcin Jakóbczyk, together with the “Notes” team, went to the developer's office to talk to representatives of the company. There were shocking scenes. A man portraying himself as the owner of the building attacked a reporter and an accompanying tv crew. He was aggressive.
“What you are doing, you attacked”, the writer intervened. This is only 1 case of force against journalists in Poland. The Association of Polish Journalists calls for the protection of journalists against force and threats.
According to the CSO data, in 2022, around 70% of Poles believe that journalists are crucial to society. Additionally, around 60% of Poles believe that force against journalists is unacceptable.
