Faithful Council of Ukraine voted for a request to president Volodymyr Zelenski to posthumously give the title of Hero of Ukraine to the erstwhile deputy chamber, Iryna Farion. A female was murdered in July this year. During her life, she was known for her highly banerist and anti-Polish views.

Farion was a lecturer at the University of Lviv University of Technology, and in the past she was a associate of the ultimate Council of Ukraine from the Freed Party. Her words about the fighters of the Azov regiment caused controversy. In a tv interview, Farion said that she “categorically does not accept” that the military of this unit does not talk Ukrainian, but Russian.

The female was besides celebrated for her harsh anti-Polish statements. In 2013, she stated that: "Poland occupies 19,500 sq. km of Ukrainian cultural lands". She thus challenged the current state border between Poland and Ukraine. In addition, she said that she wanted to prevent Ukrainians from being left behind. A year later, on the occasion of the “March of the Fame of UPA” in Kiev, she openly utilized a quote from Adolf Hitler, who, like another Ukrainians, was an authority for her.
Now, an aggressive believer in Ukrainian chauvinism can posthumously win the title of Hero of Ukraine. During the vote in the Vierchowna Council as many as 199 Ukrainian parliamentarians were in favour of giving it this award. Prior to that, the Lviv Circuit Military Administration gave president Volodymyr Zelensk a formal motion to posthumously give Iryna Farion the title of Hero of Ukraine. The documentation sent to the Presidential Palace indicated Farion's merits in the area of language investigation and public activities.
OUR COMMENTS: The national cult of Nazi criminals and their apologists is increasing in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Polish-speaking authorities of the Polish-speaking COPIS proceed to say that bannerism is simply a marginal phenomenon associated with social pits in this country.
