In the final days of the election run before the presidential election, which will be held on 18 May, and the eventual 2nd circular of June, came an unexpected turn. Rafał Trzaskowski, 1 of the presidential candidates, amazed everyone by proposing to extend the debate in Konski to include another candidates. Initially, only debates were planned between Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki, supported by the Law and Justice.
Trzaskowski, explaining his decision, said: “A fewer days ago, Karol Nawrocki offered me a debate. I said yes. present I learn that many another candidates are going to Horses. I think that by respect for them and for voters, this debate needs to be extended." This decision provoked both outrage and interest among another candidates and politicians.
As a result, 2 debates were held in Koński on the same day, with the participation of various candidates and broadcast by various tv stations. The first debate, broadcast by tv Republika, Poland 24 and tv Trwam, began at 18.50 on the marketplace in Koński. It was attended by presidential candidates specified as Szymon Hołownia from the 3rd Way, Marek Jakubiak (Free Republicans), Joanna Senyszyn and Krzysztof Stanowski.
