BENGALOUR- Air India (AI) has selected SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) as its strategical partner to enhance Air India's Base Maintenance facilities (MRO facility) in Bengaluru.
In this collaboration, Air India will close the collaboration with SIAEC on the planning, construction, development, and operationalization of Air India’s Base Maintenance facilities in Bengaluru, India.

Expected to be operational by 2026, these facilities will include wide and Narrowbody hangars and associated repair shops to meet the expanding Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) requirements of the aircraft Fleet in the Air India Group.

Previous, Air India had announced the establishment of state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities at Kempegowda global Airport Bengaluru (operated by Bangalore global Airport Ltd), reporting with Airframe Maintenance and subsequently expanding to include widebody and Narrowbody aircraft hangars for all checks.
