Climate minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska powerfully denies media reports that propose that she required peculiar treatment while travelling by train. In her entry on the X portal, the politician stressed that she had never utilized VIP salons and did not ask for specified facilities. "In my service to the state, I drove thousands of kilometres by train. Most frequently these were TLK trains, due to the fact that specified trains travel on the Gniezno – Września – Warsaw line. I never asked and utilized VIP salons. I don't really know if they be in train stations. I usually anticipate a train on the platform," wrote Hennig-Kloska.
"Excessive Official" or misunderstanding?
The climate minister convinces that the full situation is the consequence of the overzealousness of 1 of the officials who without her cognition sent an email to the PKP. "I asked to see the email that the overzealous authoritative sent to the PKP without my knowledge. He doesn't ask for a VIP lounge or a toilet. He's asking for a place to wait for the train. I submitted to the Office of the Minister that they should not ask any more,” explained Hennig-Kloska.
According to Radio Zet, however, circumstantial requirements appeared in a message sent to the PKP from the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The authoritative asked about "the anticipation of providing a place where Mrs Paulina Hennig-Kloska could wait for the train on 7 February 2025 from 15:50 to 16:30." Among the requirements there was a separate toilet. Surprise at the Railway Station
The railwaymen were amazed by the content of the email received. In their conversation with journalists, they admitted that they had never met specified demands before, even from the politicians supervising the PKP. The PKP spokesman, Michał Stilger, confirmed that the company received a message from the MKiŚ and asked the Ministry to clarify the situation. "We have been informed that there has been a misunderstanding and confusion on the part of 1 of the ministry staff," Stilger said.
He besides added that the PKP does not practice providing access to interior premises for public or local officials. The exception is those covered by the protection of the SOP for which the company cooperates closely with the applicable services.
Is this the end of the story?
The Ministry of Climate and Environment ensures that the full situation is simply a consequence of a misunderstanding, and Hennig-Kloska is not in the habit of utilizing Vipovian amenities. A spokesperson for the ministry stressed that the minister travels on trains like a regular passenger and does not anticipate peculiar treatment.
But will this substance affect the image of the minister? Hennig-Kloska firmly defends his version of events, but questions about the overzealousness of officials and their impact on the image of politicians stay open.
