The rising cost of school leave. 300 plus is real support

The beginning of the school year is simply a real financial marathon for many parents. The prices of textbooks, notebooks, art supplies and outfits on the WF increase year by year, and store bills can make you dizzy. According to marketplace analyses, a complete set for 1 student is present spending 450-500 PLNand in the case of advanced school students, this amount can easy exceed even a 1000 zlotys. The investigation conducted by PayPo shows that the largest group of families plans to fit into the budget from PLN 251 to 500, but all 5th parent declares expenditure exceeding PLN 750 per child.

Even the completion of the absolute minimum for the first school, covering only basic equipment, is cost about 160 PLN. erstwhile we add a backpack to the list, change shoes and gymnast outfit, the bill increases rapidly to nearly PLN 500. In this situation, the benefit from the Good Start, popularly called 300 plus, becomes invaluable support. Although this amount will not cover all expenditure, it represents a crucial ‘rebate’ which allows the household budget to be relieved in a hot period before the first bell. Thanks to these measures, parents can afford to buy better quality products or to allocate them to fees related to extracurricular activities or a parent committee.

Good Start – who precisely has the money?

The benefit 300 plus is universal support that is not dependent on household income. This means that money is available to practically any student who meets basic age and education criteria. According to the rules of the program, Funding should be provided for all learning kid aged 7 to 20 years. In the case of students with disability, the age limit is extended up to 24 years of age. The program includes primary, secondary (lices, technicians, industry) and post-secondary and adult schools.

It is worth noting that the benefit is not granted automatically – a fresh application should be submitted all year. Since 1 July this year, ZUS has already granted support to about 3.3 million students, paying a full of over PLN 634 million. This shows that the majority of entitled people remember their duty, but a large group of parents inactive hesitate to file documents. The faster the application is processed, the sooner the money gets into the bank account. Putting it together at the last minute, although inactive possible, may affect unnecessary stress and longer waiting.

The key date is August 31. How do you apply to make it?

The most crucial date each parent should compose in the calendar is 31 August. Submission of the application by that date is simply a warrant that the Social Insurance Institution will pay the benefit by 30 September at the latest. This is the perfect time to cover fresh school expenses or pay the first contributions and additional classes. The application procedure is as simple as possible and takes place only by electronic means. This allows it to be realized in a fewer minutes without leaving the house.

The decision to grant the benefit is besides transmitted electronically and appears in the inbox on the PUE ZUS profile.

What happens if you miss the deadline? ZUS explains the consequences

Although August 31 is simply a key date, the late ones have another chance. The deadline for applying for 300 plus this school year is up 30 November. However, be aware of the consequences of the delay. Submission of papers after 31 August means that ZUS has much more time to consider them and to pay the funds. According to the regulations, to carry out the transfer he has in specified a situation up to 2 months from the date of application. This means that the money can only scope the parent's account in October, November and in utmost cases even in late December.

Such a position is not comfortable, due to the fact that the biggest expenses associated with the start of discipline are incurred at the turn of August and September. The postponement of the payment by a fewer months means that the benefit loses its primary nonsubjective of budget support over the most hard period. Submission of an application after 30 November is tantamount to failure of entitlement to benefit for the current school year. Therefore, ZUS urges that we not postpone this simple formality at the last minute and warrant ourselves money erstwhile needed most.
