As the Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek of the Tusk government announced, there will shortly be 16 peculiar prosecutorial teams, dealing with the prosecution of Poles criticizing Ukrainians. The prosecutors of the alleged "head" will besides prosecute without pity those who talk about Jews. It seems that the times of freedom of speech in Poland are passing.
Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek announced that he intends to implement a regulation designating respective prosecutors, which will focus on the prosecution of crimes related to the alleged “hate speech”, including hatred directed towards Ukrainians. – The applicable regulation is being prepared. The designated units will have specialization in the pursuit of hate. It's going to be about the hate. Whether the victims are Ukrainians, Jews, Roma, or a Polish citizen who has different views – He said Żurek in a conversation with the far-left editor of OKO.press.
According to information obtained by the left portal, 16 territory and territory prosecutors are to be designated to prosecute specified crimes. Maciej Młynarczyk, a prosecutor specialising in the pursuit of “talk of hatred”, will be active in the activities, but it has not yet been defined in the Polish legal system.
Teams designated for these tasks will be stationed in cities specified as Łomża, Bydgoszcz, Sosnowiec, Radomsko and the capital districts of Warsaw. "There is now a consultation on the form of the regulation and a discussion on whether the designated regional prosecutors will be active – now 16 in the country – or 16 in the district".
The coordination of efforts of local units will be carried out by the Warsaw-Prague territory Attorney's Office, where a squad will be established liable for the most crucial investigations and direction in actions against hatred speech. Training for prosecutors in the field of this specialization is besides planned.
Żurek stresses that the problem of "talk of hatred" is increasingly "burning" and the progressive improvement of fresh technologies, specified as artificial intelligence, adds a fresh dimension to the existing challenges. – This kind of specialization is important, due to the fact that it will change the way things are handled. And the problem of hatred speech in Poland is increasingly serious. All the more so due to the fact that the problem is increasing – especially towards Ukrainians – and the fresh challenges consequence in the improvement of artificial intelligence, which generates alleged Deepfake said the Minister.
