Polish abroad policy is simply a collection of random emotions, extremes mutually exclusive and belief in alliances. It took 3 years to realize the most apparent issue, namely that Ukraine uses Poland without a small gratitude and respect for each other's interests. Now there is simply a painful sobriety from illusions, but before this process begins for good, there is another trap in which “political elites” are eager to enter again.
The experience of fresh days reveals old truths, the European Union and Europe in general, traditionally is not capable of fast and effective decisions. Europe's speciality is peaks, i.e. idle disputes connected with media leaks. Following Volodymyr Zelenski's loud visit to the White House, English Prime Minister Keir Starter called a summit with an ambitious intention to prove to Donald Trump that hard matters should be resolved differently. What's the large deal? The same Prime Minister after the summit was forced to announce that there was no agreement. On the another hand, it is hard to say that Trump's skirmish has won, at least for now specified a consequence on the board has not appeared, but it is certain that the decision-making processes of the U.S. on European shows up like Ferrari next to the scooter.
But for us, something completely different should be the most crucial – safety and national interest. In this respect, Trump's theoretically actions are more beneficial, yet we have an armed conflict abroad, and this is never a safe state of affairs. If Donald Tramp were able to bring peace, even at the expense of Ukraine, it would be beneficial for us. It will be much worse if the truce is occupied by decisions that may prove fatal to us. From media, western and national reports, a alternatively disturbing image emerges. Naturally, we request to keep the right distance, due to the fact that the media live out of anxiety, but if the leaks are true, then Donald Trump's policy will cease to be beneficial for Poland.
The 2 most crucial and not yet confirmed information concerns the abolition of sanctions imposed by the US on Russia, which is inactive a average threat to Poland. But the second information that concerns the reconstruction of Nord Stream 2 sounds terrible.
