I don't know what ISIS had in head for attacking a performance hall in Russia. Yes, Russia has been actively fighting ISIS in Syria since 2015, so ISIS might want revenge, but why didn't the assassination take place just now? Alternatively, how much money did Russia give ISIS for admitting to the assassination (his organization)?

Such an assassination, from a sick point of view, is an excellent gift for Putin, to begin his 5th term, to appear as the “father of the nation” who by forces of the full motivated society forces the Russian army and threatens Ukraine, which attacked Russia on February 24, 2022, like this proverbial black man from a communist gag who dared to be a victim of a white imperialist. There is only 1 “but”.
Surely the aim of the assassination is for average Russians to fear what their state and power is doing. If the information that the Russian government ignored the informing of Americans about a possible assassination in a large facility, Russian decision-makers would become accomplices.
