Presidential Election 2025: Karol Nawrocki leader in the poll

In the latest poll conducted by the OGB, Karol Nawrocki, a candidate supported by the Law and Justice, turns out to be the leader in the second circular of the presidential election. According to the results of the poll, Nawrocki can number on 48 percent of the vote, while his counter-candidate, Rafał Trzaskowski, receives 45.5% of the vote. However, undecided voters who make up 6.5% of the full can play a key function in the upcoming elections.

It is worth noting that the survey was carried out on 22-24 May and does not include the impact of fresh political events, specified as the conversation between Rafał Trzaskowski and Sławomir Mentzen, or the Sunday support marches held in Warsaw. According to the OGB, the variant of the study, where only strong voters were taken into account, showed an even clearer advantage of the PiS candidate. In this group Nawrocki would gain 51.3 percent support, while Trzaskowski – 48.7 percent.

According to the poll, Nawrocki leads the second circular of presidential elections by 3.5 percent points over Trzaskowski. It is worth noting that in the first circular of the presidential election held on May 18, 2025, no of the candidates received an absolute majority. Rafał Trzaskowski then won 31.36 percent of the votes, and Karol Nawrocki, a candidate supported by the Law and Justice, received 29.54 percent of the support.

Since no of the candidates obtained an absolute majority of the votes, the second circular of the presidential election will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025. It is on that day that Poles will again go to the polls to elect a fresh president of Poland.

It is worth noting that indecisive voters can play a key function in the upcoming elections. According to the survey results, 6.5% of respondents do not yet know who they will vote for. This means that about 1.3 million voters can change their head and support another candidate.

According to the State Election Commission, 14.3 million voters participated in the first circular of the presidential election, which is 51.4 percent of those entitled to vote. In turn, turnout in the election was 50.6%, which is the lowest consequence since 2005.

It is worth noting that presidential elections are 1 of the most crucial political events in Poland. The fresh president will have a crucial impact on the country's interior and abroad policy, as well as on the future of Poland in the European Union.
