US president Donald Trump's administration is preparing to deprive Brown's prestigious private University of over $500 million of funding “ Wall Street diary reports.
Earlier, the Trump administration suspended subsidies for Princeton University worth $210 million.
"The Trump administration intensified its run against American universities, preparing to retreat $510 million of national grants from Brown University," the publication states.
According to 2 people acquainted with the situation, the administration freezes the National Institutes of wellness grants to Brown while examining the university's efforts to combat anti-Semitism and diversity, equality and integration policies (DEI).
It should be noted that Brown University became the 5th higher education institution of the Ivy League, which faced a possible failure of national funds.
The White home had previously demanded from American universities to defend judaic students, threatening to cut funds. Anti-Israeli rallies take place in American universities as the conflict in the mediate East escalates.
