I was reasoning about the title of a column, in which I wanted to at least summarize what is presently happening in Poland. The common denominator is easy to find, but the elements of it are increasing overnight. What's written present requires a revision. So I'll start with something little acquainted with us, namely the letter opened in defence of academic freedom and historian Grzegorz Rossoliński-Liebe, which was signed by about 380 people from around the world. Since the introduction to the signatory message is at least curiosal, I quote in full:
We, the undersigned, protest against the Polish state-sponsored defaming attacks on German-Polish Holocaust historian Grzegorz Rossoliński-Liebe and the ongoing run to intimidate scientists and interfere with academic freedom in Poland and Germany.
I did not read Rossoliński-Liebe's books but I took a comparatively close look at reviews, especially Damian Sitkiewicz, with 47 pages of discussion of the book, as well as the comments of Paweł Kowal to the book Ossoliński-Liebe p. t. I agree with Mr Morawiecki's assessment, but not entirely. Well, Czarzasty, erstwhile he joined the PZPR in 1983, proved 1 thing: he was willing to take up any martial law order and this disqualifies him in all respect. Of course, the majority of the KO electorate knows small and even little about martial law, but 1 thing they should know erstwhile they go to elections: martial law, it was the enslavement of society and the current governments in Poland remind him due to the fact that how he defiles democracy, law and regulation of law, they give birth to a political-demand-driven justice strategy erstwhile again, putting trust in judges and prosecutors, among whom there are many honest people.
