Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 18.03.2026):

  • Russian forces carried out another wave of massive drone attacks. The mark of the strikes again was energy infrastructure and urban areas, including the Kiev area; hits and falls of shrapnel in respective districts were reported. The Ukrainian side claims that its anti-aircraft defence neutralized 154 of 178 unmanneds.
  • There is very advanced drone activity besides on the Ukrainian side in Russia. According to the Russian authorities, dozens of drones were shot down in the Moscow area (about 67 in 1 day, to about 250 in 2 days).
  • On the Zaporoz section, fierce Russian attacks on Wozdrowywka continue. In turn, the counterattacking Ukrainians in the north reached Nowomykolaiwka.
  • Serious Russian advancement on the Slavic section – Kaleniki village was occupied.
  • Moscow's faithful troops crossed the state border in the fresh Sum region, occupying the village of Sopycz.
  • Russia benefits from Western distraction and maintains a advanced strength of military action, hoping to undermine Ukraine's position in the long term.
  • In Russia, interior efforts to reduce social dissatisfaction, including information control and consequence to mobilization (trend observed in fresh intelligence reports) are increasing.
  • The war is increasingly taking the form of an exterminating conflict: both sides are developing long-range (especially drone) strike capabilities, extending the battlefield far beyond the front line
