In fresh days, the media has re-entered the debate on cadastral tax. Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski, a guest of Radio ZET, was asked whether Poland should introduce this controversial tax. His answer dispels doubts, but the subject is inactive emotional.
What is cadastral taxation and why is it controversial?
Cadastral taxation is simply a kind of property taxation that is calculated on the basis of the marketplace value of the property and not its area or another fixed parameters. In practice, this means that the more costly the property, the higher the tax. In Poland there is presently a property tax, which is charged at rates per square meter.
The introduction of cadastral taxation calls for certain environments, including the Organisation for economical Cooperation and improvement (OECD) and left-wing parties. They argue that specified a taxation could be more equitable and besides a origin of additional gross for the state budget. Minister Domański: Government does not work on cadastral tax
