News from the front of “citizen diplomacy” to the east

The past and coming weeks for me mean a revived alleged "citizen diplomacy" in the Slavic ellipse and towards east politics.

"citizen diplomacy", that is, political and economical dialog outside authoritative state structures has been known and practiced for years and even centuries. The "citizen diplomacy" must effort to remedy the shortcomings and even the apparent errors of state policy. Polish state diplomacy has only 1 dimension for years. This is simply a vassal and faithful policy towards the alleged West, both towards the US and the EU, without any effort to articulate its own state, and a rebellious, aggressive and even modestly confrontational attitude in relations with the East, i.e. with Russia and Belarus. As if we forget our regional position, historical experience and real potential, which can be utilized for development, or vice versa, to destruct in mindless disputes, or even in a real war conflict.

For respective weeks now, 1 or 2 global meetings of Slavic communities, organisations and initiatives are being prepared this year. The case is not simple for respective reasons. The first is the real war between Russia and Ukraine, which we know precedes the escalation of tensions between East and West at least since 2014 due to the political situation in Ukraine.

The West's mechanics of sanctions of a different nature (not only economical or scientific-technical, but even concerning average socio-cultural contacts, personal, etc.) makes it hard to decision freely "ordinary citizens" and, even more so, activists belonging to socio-political organisations, not only after the alleged Schengen Area, but even deprives the anticipation of obtaining visas. For these reasons, the previously planned gathering of all Slavic communities and organisations, including representatives of Russia and Belarus in Serbia or Slovakia, is besides uncertain about the participation of all Slavic nations. An alternate is the gathering in Belarus (not creating formal obstacles yet and having an efficient state administration) or Russia.

The second location is problematic for 3 reasons. First: in the current endless and escalation of war between Russia and Ukraine, representatives of Slavic organizations and Slavic communities from Europe Wr. "West by authoritative propaganda in these countries will be referred to as "agents and co-workers of the deciding centres of power in Russia" in a real war and may so possibly be affected by repression.

The second reason: the organisation of a pan-European Slavic conference in Russia is mainly faced with a deficiency of current, clearly formulated Russian state doctrine. The current authorities in Russia do not place Slavicism as a basis for civilization, but besides as a mark cultural-political community, a privileged socio-economic area competing with another planet solutions, or as a precedence for global policy.

Thirdly, Russia, due to its own mistakes and interior tolerance, V column not only weakened its state body, but through flirting with Anglo-Zionists and allowing its elite to be compraded, allowed the demolition of the most crucial area of its influence and the real systemic alternate that was the Block of Countries of People's Democracy based on the RPPG and the Warsaw Pact. Intra-Russian illness has spread to the full block. The process of weakening the global influences of the USSR was initiated, and then Russia – which has continued so far. Thus, the reconstruction of a future-oriented civilization based on Slavic cultural roots has encountered an crucial problem. Russia with the patron has fundamentally become only a larger partner of another post-socialist countries, as it has not shown adequate spiritual and material strength to save its unaltered authority.

Russia, which since the turn of 1980/1990, has declared a return to Orthodoxy as the basis of spirituality and unifying origin of communityality, on the 1 hand has not noticed that the Western Slavic nations are mostly influenced by the Catholic Church (in their anti-Slavic essence), but besides the Russian hierarchy of the Orthodox Church (Orthodox Church) is not spiritually and culturally identical to the Slavic Church. In this situation, the very slogan: “Russia-Third Rome” sounds like the praise of abroad regulation over Slavic peoples.

In conclusion, Russia lost its title to the undisputed leadership of Slavic peoples, with which mentally and institutionally it is hard to reconcile besides to Slavic activists in Russia who are inactive stuck in the past, erstwhile the planet around them has fundamentally changed. The thought and political concept of an omnislovian community based on the absolute sovereignty of Russia must be updated and realized.

A real civilizational community based on cultural and cultural Slavic roots is possible, and even to save fundamental human values and social goals - necessary, but no longer according to the scheme: the elder and vassals, nor according to the scheme: the centre and periphery, but on the principles of the civilizational partnership of nations and Slavic states (and the historically close neighbouring nations).

My above considerations stem from both the reflections and preparations for the expected global Slavic conferences, as well as the assessment of current political phenomena and events, both regional and global.

Europe, Eurasia, the planet are in a phase of transformation. From which process will appear if not dominant, they are truly crucial civilizational communities. The community of Slavic peoples has adequate spiritual, material (resourced) and creative potential, and although it is in a demographic crisis, it has the ability to reverse an unfavourable trend, or to balance it with the possible of creativity and productivity. Realism, consistent long-term action, and the fight against real (time) divisions not so much on its own as imposed on Slavic nations by reluctant or even external ones – hostile civilization projects and political decision-making centres are essential to accomplish their intentions and to build their position among planet civilization centres.

Let us trust on the truth, even if it is temporarily sad for politicians and uncomfortable. Let's fill the gaps, build bridges of knowing and cooperation. Let us not let a gap to arise. Let us counter any war – especially the intra-Slavic war.
