Wielomski : economical Forum in Karpacz 2024

I returned from the economical Forum in Karpacz, or “Polish Davos”, where as many as 5,000 participants were reportedly involved. I was at this event for the first time and I would like to take the chance to share with my Readers any observations and feelings that I gained from my participation in discussion panels and cultural talks. It will be my individual and subjective impression. The discussion panels were most likely 150 or 200, and I had to take part in only a dozen. It will be subjective and must be, due to the fact that 1 individual cannot perceive to many discussions taking place in respective or respective halls simultaneously.

One component was constantly in session, namely the problem of Poland's place in the world. In general, Polish debaters presented an highly cosmopolitan position. Permanently they spoke about the interests of the “world”, the interests of the European Union, Germany, Ukraine, climate change, democracy and human rights, values, etc. Concepts specified as Poland or Polish interest were practically absent in the speeches of Polish speakers. It happened accidentally that Andrzej Szejna participated in 2 panels that I listened to. In his statements I did not find any trace of Polish interest. But we had all this well-known communicative about “the world”, Europe, Ukraine, etc. At 1 point, the Minister made a quasi-religious declaration of religion in Kamala Harris' triumph in the United States presidential election, simply utilizing the words of Martin Luther King: “I have a dream!”. In support of his own, he besides quoted quotes from – as they were said to be communes – “classics”. This time the classical (classical?) was one, namely Frau Ursula von der Leyen. Unfortunately, it was not a peculiar character in Karpacz. 1 of the Polish economists announced that Poland's most crucial problem is GDP growth in Germany.

Did this ostentatious cosmopolitism of many Polish debaters rise objections? Yeah. Against this view, 1 of the Hungarians active in the debates protested, the erstwhile Czech president Vaclav Klaus protested. Even 1 of the Germans protested erstwhile he heard that it was essential to delete their own investigation institutes in individual EU associate States and make 1 Euro-Research Institute. Germany is, of course, in favour of European integration, but only if it is in their interests. Meanwhile, German foundations and media bred so utmost Europeans in Poland that even Germans considered this state of head to be extremism! Unfortunately, any voices about the existence of national Polish interests, spoken by abroad guests, met with hot protests of Polish passport holders. It's hard to say whether it was more sad or more embarrassing. These people of large Poland will not build!

The second crucial issue was Poland's relations with China and India. The Kuluaras rapidly noticed over-representation of Indian guests compared to Chinese guests. On 1 of the panels, the Chinese writer asked directly. There was a clear deficiency of interest in Polish elites to cooperate with China, besides economical ones, with an highly strong desire to cooperate with India. This was justified by the request to disintegrate the BRICS Group through a simultaneous conflict with Beijing (and Moscow) and intensify cooperation with Delhi. 1 of the Hungarian speakers noted that China invests in Hungary erstwhile India is to cooperate with Poland.

This is an apparent indication that Polish elites have received specified guidelines from Washington and London to break up BRICS and pacify the Chinese initiative of the fresh Silk Road. And Poland, as a neocolonial state, implements the orders of the Anglo-Saxons. Against his apparent self-interest. Samoster Hungary Orbana has chosen China and will most likely draw large profits by becoming a hub on the Beijing-Europe line. In return, we will have thousands of Indian immigrants, whom already Mateusz Morawiecki has started to enter Poland, who service as inexpensive labour mainly for global corporations operating in Poland. It was clear that the people with Polish passports who were taking the discussion were very afraid about the effectiveness of throwing a challenge to the fight for the hegemony of the “free world” from tandem China and Russia. 1 associate explicitly stated in 1 panel that the Ukrainian-Russian War should be regarded as a conflict between Putin's "values" and "the values of Kamala Harris and Ursula von der Leyen". After which, in a state of mystical exultation, he exclaimed that “Ukraine must win!”.

And finally, a curious fact. I am looking at the Green Deal panel with Jakub Wiech, along with 2 well-known "climate denialists", and while on the another hand doctors of economics. I'm moving for the panel. In the area there is simply a crowd waiting for a dense knockout, delighted that the ideologist of climateism will yet gotta face heavyweight players. Unfortunately, Wiech did not appear, and the panel leader announced that the debate had not arrived. The hall protested that the debater is in Karpacz! I besides protested due to the fact that the another day I met him personally and we exchanged a fewer words, and on the day of the debate he had breakfast table from me! What's more, on his profile on the "X" he posted 2 sweet pictures from the Forum! The hall considered this absence to be a reiterade, and I decided to paper the full event with an empty chair and a plaque “Jakub Wiech”. This is simply a historical image I'm posting as an illustration of this text.
