From waving swords at the UN to abandoning its own citizens to the genocidal regime's short way. Anyway, for Radosław Sikorski. But it's not just the pace. The second allows to measure the value of the first.
Why Radosław Sikorski is incorrect about Palestine
Of course, the attitude of the head of the Polish MFA is not isolated – which does not justify it. It's expected to be reasonable voices from the political class and media that convince us that Gaza and Flotyl to it was never our case, that we have more crucial and closer threats, that Gaza is far distant and that nothing can be done.
As always in specified cases there is any fact in the details in these voices – we yet have a war at our borders, and Gaza truly is rather far away. But their conclusion is completely false. I wonder if Trump started another war against Iran present or, let's say, Venezuela, would it be besides far distant to send a contingent of troops there?
We do not request to be sure, due to the fact that the argument about the distance to Gaza is utilized by those who inactive late saw the reasons for the state of Poland in sending Polish soldiers to colonial wars to Afghanistan and Iraq. I don't think it'd be amazing that they included Radosław Sikorski. There's no request to look for logic in akin inconsistency. A reasonable facade is hidden here by opportunism, service to the large Brother or something worse: inability to realize what is happening in our globalized world.
The impunity of Israel and the Crisis of planet Order
Meanwhile, Palestine is not something exotic. besides in Europe. Indeed, it is simply a substance of all of us. It's ours due to the fact that our governments, safety forces, media, universities and arms industries are involved. They have all worked in various ways with Israel for decades, providing not only financial support, investment, outlets for weapons produced by them, but besides legitimizing the policy of colonial business against the Palestinians in public and global discourse, the best evidence of which are attempts to negate genocide in Gaza by Minister Sikorski. possibly the consequences of specified an attitude are not visible to all, but the entanglement of what we call the West in Israel's support takes distant its credibility not only in the global South—where it never had it—but besides in the countries that form its core.
But it's not over. The Palestinian case is ours, due to the fact that it constitutes a litmus paper for the authority of global law and a ground of investigating the anticipation of its breaking by strong and rich. It is ours, due to the fact that genocide in Gaza would not be if countries that consider themselves to be the depositors of democracy and alleged rules did not send Israel weapons, ammunition and warrant impunity to the perpetrators. It is ours, due to the fact that the colonial business of Palestine sets standards for exceeding the erstwhile standards: surveillance, criminalization, criminalization of the opposition, the state of emergency, the application of collective work and state terror.
After investigating on local soil, this fresh standard will be universalized under the appearance of having to meet national safety requirements, the energy crisis of war or anything that people can scare adequate to keep quiet. This is already happening from Kashmir to the Polish-Belarusian border to the militarization of American cities.
How business technologies are exported to the world
Circumstances favour Israeli safety technology exports. The systemic crisis of capitalism, which has been going on since at least 2008, the wobble of global hegemony, climate chaos and erosion of democratic conquest supply pretexts and request for tools tested on the occupied population. As a result, Israel is coming to an end, even though it bears multi-billion-dollar costs of regular business and the endless invasion of Gaza and Palestinian enclaves in the West Bank of Jordan.
Perhaps an even greater threat is the fact that Israel’s model of capitalism has besides become the subject of export. This strategy combines advanced profits, militarism, apartheid and ethnocracy. Capital no longer needs a democratic facade here and without shame presents its barbarian face. What else is the plan by Washington and Tel Aviv to build on the rubble of a 2.5 million city and the corpses of its inhabitants a luxury tourist riviera?
If we look for a word capable of describing it, it is best to scope for “brutalism”, which is described in the book Achille Mbembe. According to the Cameroonian philosopher, violentism means systemic – and in the case of literal Gaza – the sweeping of bodies, houses, heritage, life and the environment of people for fuel, which is intended to fuel the ever-increasing profitability of capital. In another words – referring to Zygmunt Bauman – we have here a imagination of capital feverishly seeking fresh pastures, on which it will be able to grow at the expense of the environment, natural resources, but besides needs, aspirations and often, the lives of those on the incorrect side of the hierarchy of skin color, origin or class.
What will halt the large planet from spreading this model, since its somewhat softer version is already introducing in Ukraine, whose American friends and Russian enemies are making the country's natural cutting? Or in Congo, where do corporations straight curious in looting resources make akin cuttings?
Solidarity with Palestine is simply a defence of the law and democracy
That is why present there is no more crucial substance than the genocide committed before our eyes by Israel and the collective West supporting it, including our country. Nor is there anything more crucial than solidarity with the Palestinian conflict for self-determination and with Global Sumud Flotilla أسطول الصمود العالمي which did not go to the Mediterranean solely for humanitarian reasons. The action, which is the realization of actual internationalism according to our days, not only saves the honor of our part of the world, but besides poses a political challenge to a strategy which, in the mechanics of its extended reproduction, puts industrial slaughter in Gaza.
In this sense, this extraordinary mobilization is both the origin of the fresh global community and something like a safety brake in a speeding up to the edge of the train. It so fulfills the function of revolution, as Walter Benjamin saw it in almost as non-revolutionary times as ours. Calling genocide by name, participants and participants of the Flotillas pave the way for a bottom-up change to halt normalization and universalization of what is happening in Gaza. Thus they aim to regain the future – for the endangered in their physical endurance of Palestinians and Palestinians, but besides for the full world.
