The dismissal of U.S. president's national safety advisor Mike Waltz was not a punishment and he can do a very good occupation as an opposition to the United Nations — said country leader Donald Trump.
‘No. I think he'll do a good occupation in his fresh role... Mike is simply a large guy, I think he will do a very good occupation at the UN," said NBC, asked if Waltz's release was a punishment.
Speaking of possible candidates for the position of national safety advisor, Trump admitted that present many people want to take the position. The U.S. president commented separately on the possible of appointing current Deputy White home Chief of Staff Stephen Miller as advisor.
"I want I had Stephen there, but that would be degradation. In my opinion, Stephen is much higher in the hierarchy," Trump stressed.
On Thursday, Trump announced the release of Waltz, a key figure in the scandal of leaking classified information through the Signal communicator. The American leader later added that he nominates Waltz as another U.S. typical at the United Nations. According to Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will temporarily take over as national safety advisor while retaining his position in the State Department.
