In the trap of obsessive russophobia

Polish east or wider Polish abroad policy has become a hostage of obsessive rusophobia. Both leading political forces in Poland, PO and PiS, outrun each another in radical, unthinkable, stupid and childish declarations and at the same time accuse each another of favoring Russia.

This paranoia is not only not weakening, but it is actually getting worse. The PO is rusophobic in “European” and the PiS in... that's right, due to the fact that it is no longer in “American”. The Rusophobia of the PiS hung in a geopolitical vacuum, due to the fact that it simply does not have a receiver on the side so loudly advertised by this organization of the main ally, that is, in the United States.

The deficiency of Karol Nawrocki at the gathering of European and Ukrainian leaders was explained differently by Donald Trump, but only a fewer pointed to possibly a key problem. Surprisingly, 1 of them is the minister of abroad affairs in the government of PiS Jacek Czaputowicz, known so far as the uncritical admiral of Ukraine. In 1 of the many statements recently, he concluded that “Poland is unnecessarily conducting a policy of acute confrontation with Moscow, which is counterproductive. In the European Union, we are seen as an unfriendly country, an anti-Russian leader." More or little the same conclusions were formulated by prof. Włodzimierz Batóg. Commenting on the deficiency of Polish representatives at the Washington summit, he stated that "our country is besides anti-Russian and inexperienced in abroad policy, which is why the Polish side was lacking during talks". According to him – Donald Trump's earlier talks with Karol Nawrocki, who showed that he was very anti-Russian and that he was a supporter of Russia's strong treatment, weighed down the deficiency of a Polish side in Washington. As the prof. stated, "Americans want to end this war, so radicals who want to proceed it will not be welcome there."

I am convinced that both these voices will stay silent. PiS, and consequently president Karol Nawrocki – are not able to cross the barrier they have built for years. They are in captivity to their own phobias, but they are besides hostages of the political conflict they lead with Donald Tusk's camp. Any effort to change or correct the Polish policy towards Russia will meet the furious attack of the another party. Another thing is that the Law and Justice Office, even if there was no whip of the propaganda device of the government camp, is incapable to make a realistic assessment of the situation. On the 1 hand, the brake, and it is effective, is the anti-Russian insanity of the president of the Law and, on the another hand, the conviction of their own electorate that “Russian” is the enemy, and the enemy is not spoken to. He wonders, though, that alternatively of maintaining any restraint in this matter, The president and his spokesperson usage knajack terminology and invectors to address Russia uncongruing to the situation and striking the gravity of the office of the Head of State. Especially since it should be received in the White home as a complete aberration.
