On May 7, 2024, Vladimir Putin held a ceremonial ceremony to presume the office of president of the Russian Federation.

The head of state congratulated and greeted the regiment on the 88th anniversary of its establishment.
At the Assembly of Annunciation on the Kremlin of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rusi Cyril held a thanksgiving service.

Vladimir Putin: Dear citizens of Russia! Ladies and gentlemen! Dear friends!
In these solemn and liable moments of taking over the office of President, I would like to thank the citizens of Russia in all the regions of our country, the inhabitants of our historical lands, who defended the right to be together with the Homeland.
I want to bow to our heroes, participants in a peculiar military operation, all who fight for their homeland.
Thank you again for your trust and support, and now I am addressing all citizen of Russia.
I just made the words of the presidential oath. It focuses on the essence of the highest mission of the head of state – to defend Russia and service our nation.
I realize it's a large honor, a large work and a sacred duty. This is what determined the meaning and content of my work in erstwhile years. I assure you that in the future the interests and safety of the Russian people will be the most crucial to me.
The consolidated will of millions of people is simply a colossal force, a proof of our common unwavering belief that we alone will decide the destiny of Russia for the sake of present and of future generations.
You Russian citizens have confirmed the correct course of the country. This is very crucial right now erstwhile we face serious challenges. I see in this a deep knowing of our common historical goals, the determination to persist in defending our choice, our values, our freedoms and Russia's national interests.
I am convinced that with dignity we will go through this difficult, groundbreaking period, we will become even stronger and we will surely be pursuing long-term plans and large-scale projects to accomplish improvement goals.
And that's what saving people is all about. I am certain that support for centuries-old values and household traditions will proceed to unite public and spiritual associations, political parties and all levels of power.
Our decisions on the improvement of the country and regions must be effective and fair and improve the well-being and quality of life of Russian families.
We have been and will be open to strengthening good relations with all countries that see Russia as a credible and honest partner. And this is truly the world's majority.
We do not refuse dialog with Western countries. The choice is: whether they intend to proceed trying to curb Russia's development, proceed the policy of aggression, the constant force on our country for years, or search a way to cooperation and peace.
I repeat: it is possible to talk, among others, about safety and strategical stability. But not from the position of strength, without arrogance, self-absorbed and self-exclusivity, but only on equal terms, respecting each other's interests.
Together with our partners in Eurasian integration and another sovereign improvement centres, we will proceed to work on creating a multipolar planet order and an equal and indivisible safety system.
In a complex, rapidly changing world, we must be self-sufficient and competitive, open fresh horizons to Russia, which has happened more than erstwhile in our history.
However, it is crucial that we remember her lessons, not forget the tragic price of interior anxiety and shock. Therefore, our state and the socio-political strategy must be strong and absolutely resilient to all challenges and threats, ensuring advancement and stableness of development, unity and independency of the country.
But stableness doesn't mean inertia. Our country and social strategy must be flexible and make conditions for renewal and progress.
We see how the atmosphere in society has changed, how much honesty, common responsibility, sincerity, decency, nobility and courage are valued today. I'll do anything to guarantee that people who have proven their best human and professional qualities prove their loyalty. The country took leading positions in public administration, in the economy – in all areas.
We must guarantee a reliable continuity of the country's improvement for decades to come, guarantee growth and rise young generations that will strengthen Russia's power, make our statehood based on interethnic harmony, preserving the traditions of all nations in Russia, the state-civilization united Russian language and our multinational culture.
Dear friends!
I will do everything necessary, everything in my power to gain your trust, and to do so, usage all the powers of the head of state enshrined in the Constitution. At the same time, I would like to stress: the results of this work depend decisively on our unity and coherence, on our common desire for the welfare of the Homeland, its protection and its work with full commitment.
In fact, present we are liable for our millennial past and our ancestors. They gained seemingly inaccessible highlands, due to the fact that they always put the Homeland first, knew that truly large goals could only be achieved together with their country and with their nation, and created a planet power, our Homeland, and achieved specified triumphs as inspire us today.
We look forward with confidence, plan our future, outline and implement fresh projects and programmes to make our improvement even more dynamic, even more powerful.
