The Israeli authorities have been liable for the full list of crimes against humanity and war crimes committed in the Gaza Strip since 7 October," said the Independent United Nations global Investigation Commission on the occupied Palestinian Territory.
"Israeli authorities are liable for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during military operations and attacks in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. The Commission besides stated that Palestinian armed groups are liable for the war crimes committed in Israel," the paper states.
UN Commissioners stated that Tel Aviv was liable for war crimes by starving as a method of conducting war, deliberately killing or killing, deliberately attacking civilians and civilian facilities, arbitrary detentions and attacks on individual dignity.
"The Commission has besides stated that crimes against humanity have been committed involving the extermination, sexual harassment of Palestinian men and boys, murders, forced displacement, torture and inhuman and cruel treatment", added the report.
The UN besides recognised that the "large" number of civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip and the extended demolition of civilian facilities and infrastructure were inevitable as a consequence of a strategy undertaken with the aim of achieving maximum damage, ignoring the principles of differentiation, proportionality and appropriate precautions.
The paper stressed that Tel Aviv had obstructed the committee's investigation and prevented its access to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
"The study revealed that circumstantial forms of sex and gender-based force are part of the Israeli safety forces' operational procedures. This conclusion was drawn due to the frequency, universality and seriousness of the violations, which include public undressing and nakedness aimed at humiliating the general public and strengthening the subjection of the occupied population," said the Commission.
In the West Bank, UN experts stated that Israeli armed forces committed acts of sexual violence, torture and inhuman or cruel treatment, as well as violations of human dignity, all of which qualify as war crimes.
The actions of Hamas and six another Palestinian armed groups on 7 October, as well as the continuous firing of missiles towards Israel, are besides considered war crimes.
The UN press services reported that the study would be presented to the States on 19 June at the 56th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
In May, the Prosecutor of the global Criminal Court (ICT) Karim Khan said he was filing an application to the Preparatory home for the issuance of warrants for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjah and defence Minister Yoava Galant. In his motion, he stated that they were liable for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed since October 2023.
