Friday in Brussels at the gathering of the Ambassadors of the associate States of the European Union voted A trade agreement with the South American bloc Mercosur, which opened the way for the European Commission to yet ratify it in Paraguay. Poland, France, Ireland, Hungary and Austria voted against and Belgium abstained. Italy lacked a blocking minority. Prime Minister Meloni, who for a long time was against the deal, betrayed. She sold herself for profits to the Italian automotive industry.
The agreement with Mercosur countries, which will benefit the German automotive manufacture and lose EU agriculture, was signed yesterday, January 9. Therefore, farmers from all over Poland started protesting in Warsaw. The demonstrators went from Defilad Square to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, demanding talks with the Prime Minister and announcing a further escalation of the protest. They were waiting to talk to Donald Tuski.
Protesters revealed that they were planning to host a “green town” in front of the Prime Minister's office. Activist Sławomir Izdebski pointed out that KPRM is guarding the area so far, which does not let tents to be pitched.
“Good morning” we plan to spread the town for 10 days. If there are no talks and concrete arrangements, we will sit until the end of time. – announced Izdebski. Under the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the green town began to be dismantled, but the police, sent by the Tusk government, stood against them.

The farmer stressed that he could not believe that the EU-Mercosur agreement was approved. We can't agree to that. He stressed.
Meanwhile, Tusk, whose services prevented respective 100 agricultural tractors from reaching the protest, spoke during a peculiar press conference on protests: – To be honest, I expected a much greater manifestation, but it was not a manifestation against the government. Regardless of the fact that respective PiS activists are trying to make an anti-government movement in this manifestation, it would be very hard to believe that it is demonstrating itself in the Mercosur case against a government that has the same opinion as a demonstrators. It's something very strange, frankly, – he said.
– If we are so European, why not let our farmmates into the capital? If you could enter Paris, if you could enter Brussels – what – there are also laws? – asked Marcin Wilgos, a farmer from Lublin Voivodeship, commenting on Tusk's shoe.
Farmers inform that the influx of cheaper products from South America will destruct EU agricultural production. Our food producers will gotta face unfair competition, due to the fact that in South America labour and energy costs are importantly lower. Agricultural production in EU countries is characterised by the highest quality standards that should be a model for global manufacturers. Above all, however, the Mercosur countries do not impose any limits on the usage in crops and farms of many hazardous chemicals.
