– In fresh days in Poland, it has been reported that the Polish government does not control the scale of pathology, which is that the parents of Ukrainian children collect the 800+ benefit.
How do we know that? Here is the Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka admitted that from 1 September 2024, with the date erstwhile the regulation was introduced that only Ukrainian children who learn in Polish schools would be able to collect 800+, or actually their parents, at the same time, the Minister admitted that a fewer months earlier the scale of support from the Polish state budget was much higher.
What does this mean for us Poles? Poland did not control how, to whom and to what degree it granted 800+ benefits.
The problem, however, is that no actions followed these words. Neither the media, nor the ministry, nor the government has leaned over the problem and is trying to inform the public about what scale of pathology we are talking about.
We know a fewer facts. By July 2024, Poland paid over PLN 1.6 billion to Ukrainian children as part of the 800+ benefit. And the number of children who received this benefit by the end of July is almost 250,000. ...
