Volodymyr Windowicz, erstwhile president of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory (2014-2019) and current MP to the Ukrainian Parliament, responded to Poland's condemnation of the usage of UPA symbols in the resolution on celebrating the 81st anniversary of the genocide committed on Poles.
Windownik is simply a Ukrainian historian and politician who specializes in whitewashing the past of Ukraine, marginalizing or ignoring the facts of Ukrainian engagement in genocide on Polish and judaic population, as well as cooperation with German occupiers during planet War II and promoting laws limiting freedom of speech and freedom of research. The windbreaker has repeatedly insulted Poland. In 2021 our country compared to the 3rd Reich. 1st episode ("Prelude") of the miniseries of Jack Międlar entitled "Neighbours. The last Witnesses of the Ukrainian genocide in Poles” is simply a circumstantial consequence to the fraudulent activity of Windmill and its akin historical counterfeiters (a site dedicated to the movie – HERE).
Resolution
At the end of July 2024, the resolution adopted by the Polish Sejm reminded that "11 July 1943 the Ukrainian Povs danced the Army attacked more than 100 Polish towns in Volyn and murdered thousands of Poles — mostly old people, women and children".
“This day, due to the scale of the crime then committed, went to past as a bloody Sunday and is simply a symbol of the Volyn massacre. The attack on the Polish community was part of planned and consistently carried out murders carried out on Poles in 1943-1945 by the Ukrainian Nationalists' Organization, Ukrainian Insurgency Army, SS Galizien and another units and organizations collaborating with the 3rd German Reich in the areas of the erstwhile provinces of the Republic of Poland — Volynsk, Lviv, Tarnopolski and Stanisławski. At least 100 1000 Poles were killed at the time, and hundreds of thousands were forced to leave their homes and escape" - stressed the resolution.
"The Sejm of the Republic of Poland condemns the promotion of ideology and symbolism referring to the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and Ukrainian Insurgency Army. The persons and organisations that organised the genocide must be covered by the infamy and be an anti-model of action forever. Observing the increasing popularity of appeals to Ukrainian Nationalists and Ukrainian Insurgency Army Organizations in Ukraine, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland acknowledges that it is essential to strive at the state level to destruct specified attitudes" - indicated in the document.
427 MPs favoured the adoption of a resolution to pay tribute to victims murdered as a consequence of the genocide in the East Borders. no of the members of the home voted against the resolution. On the another hand, 7 Members decided to abstain. These were Polish 2050 parliamentarians, including Paweł Zalewski, Michał Grammar or Joanna Mucha. The youngest Member, the non-attached Adam Gomola, besides abstained.
"The Sejm of the Republic of Poland condemns any attempts to relativize the fact about the Volhynia Rzeża and lie and falsehood in discussions about this event. As early as planet War II, OUN/UPA commanders utilized the tactics of dropping work on Soviets and Germans. Today, seeing a small cognition of the criminal character of UPA in Ukraine, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland calls for all educational activities, which will be the basis for cooperation between Poland and Ukraine" - noted.
As it is written, the Sejm "is convinced that the memory of the crime, tribute to the victims and their commemoration are essential for the partner, good neighbourly and friendly relations between Poland and Ukraine". "Today, specified relations are peculiarly needed by both our peoples. Poland, supporting the Ukrainian people in the fight against the Russian aggressor, expects fair commemoration of the martyrdom of its citizens at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists," we read in the resolution.
Windbreaker threatens Poland
The Ukrainian historian and politician Volodymyr Windowicz responded to the resolution of Polish parliamentarians.
– The UPA symbolism, which should be condemned in Ukraine at the request of the Polish Sejm, is now an integral part of the symbolism of the Armed Forces “The Ukrainian writes on Facebook. – The main unit of current Ukrainian soldiers is simply a replica of UPA. And erstwhile present politicians are replaced, many of whom have fought under these symbols, The answer to specified statements will no longer be silence The windbreaker threatened Poles.
