Ukrainian Legion in Poland – success or failure?

myslpolska.info 8 months ago

I am listening on the radio about the large success of the Ukrainian Legion, which recruits in Poland. The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine informs about attendance success. This is simply a surprise to me due to the fact that yesterday in the media I read a series of texts informing about besides fewer volunteers. Somebody's messing with us again.

On the another hand, being Poles, we should get utilized to it. The lyrics on the failure of the Ukrainian Legion were not written by Think Poland or the ultimate Time!, only Businessinsider [‘The Ukrainian Legion in Poland will not rise. besides fewer volunteers"], Virtual Poland [“Klap of Ukrainian legion in Poland. There are no volunteers”], or TVP Info [“The head of the MON on the emergence of the Ukrainian Legion”. It was besides written by those fleeing from the boiler of political correctness and the only right fact to Things [“The government wanted to form Ukrainian legions in Poland. Ukrainians, however, do not volunteer to fight”] In a akin tone, the head of the Polish Ministry of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said: “The number of Ukrainians willing to join the Ukrainian Legion is besides tiny for the Polish Army to conduct training”

Today, on the Onetu website, however, we read that in Lublin the first recruitment point for Ukrainian citizens curious in joining the alleged Ukrainian Legion started. Apparently, 200 volunteers volunteered in 1 day. On the radio, I hear statements, "This is the undoubted success of the Ukrainian Legion". Success? all day on the streets of Polish cities we observe Ukrainians in draft age. There's quite a few them, though I guess little than a year ago. So I have large doubts that 200 people are specified a spectacular success. In my opinion, the number of 200 shows the sense of Ukrainians in Poland. The Ukrainian Legion is so far as many as the Legion of Poland Słomki, which was to conquer Moscow.

To tell you the truth, I was relieved. erstwhile Adam Słomka created the Legion of Poland, which was to operate in Ukraine in November 2022, it was funny, but besides unfavorable for Poland. It's comic for us Poles who know who is the erstwhile leader of 1 of the sects of KPN and who his Legionaries are. Disadvantageable to our nation and state, due to the fact that the press declarations of this man, specified as: “To conquer Moscow” were utilized to perpetuate the stereotype of the Polish rusofoba in Russia or Belarus. This besides gave a false sense of safety to Ukrainians. On the another hand, erstwhile the leader of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the creation of the Ukrainian Legion in Poland, I was profoundly concerned. Not that the Ukrainians are going to massively join this Legion. due to the fact that that's not why they ran distant from Ukraine to go back. I was afraid of any crazy idea, like fast granting Ukrainian citizenship to anyone who wants to fight Russia. Fortunately, no of this has happened and I hope that no 1 will come up with specified an thought in the future.

So who makes us specified “successes”? In my opinion, Ukrainian propaganda is behind this and another "successes". Ukrainians have excellently trained Operations Information and intellectual Units (IPSOs), which are part of the peculiar Operations Force of Ukraine. These are people who are well prepared by Americans and Britons, as informed by “New Military Review” or expert Krzysztof Podgórski.

The fight on the information/propagand field is natural. Both sides usage it. The Russians in our part of the planet are losing the fight in this field. The information war should not surprise anyone. However, the uncritical approach to specified information should be surprising. And this does not only concern Polish-speaking media workers, but besides those with Polish capital. Journalists are, by far, the conveyers of the content imposed. And they should keep the distance to information provided by all parties. erstwhile the conflict in Ukraine intensified and went into the war phase “Think Poland” was completely alone in its unilateral support for Ukraine's message. We were tried to convince ourselves that the deficiency of support from 1 side equals the support of the other. Today's a small better. Texts critically discussing the actions of Ukraine appear in the “Highest Time!”, “To Things”, “NO” Week and the “Review” Week. However, Mainstream remains faithful to the thesis, which sees the interest of the Polish people with the interest of the ruling Ukrainians. I wonder how they'll get out of this in the future.
