On 6 March 2025, on the railway border crossing in Przemyśl, border guards detained a 35-year-old Ukrainian citizen, Xenia P., wanted with Interpol's red note. The female was sentenced to 12 years in prison by a court in Kazakhstan for participating in an global criminal group trafficking in human organs.

From 2017 to 2019, Ksenia P. participated in the illegal collection of kidneys from 56 people in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Thailand. These authorities were sold on the black market, which was a permanent origin of income for the criminal group.

During border inspection in Przemyśl, Kseni P. data were identified in global search bases, leading to its detention. It is presently awaiting a court decision on extradition to Kazakhstan.

This highlights the effectiveness of global cooperation in the prosecution of cross-border crime and the function of tools specified as Interpol's red note in the detention of persons active in serious crimes.
