United States applied sanctions on Ukrainian companies that support Iran's rocket and drone production program, which then participate in attacks on Ukraine. The situation is somewhat funny, as for 3 years Kiev has been demanding sanctions from the European Union for all companies that support Russian and Iranian military programs.
Ukraine supports Iran's drone improvement program. The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Thursday against 32 people and companies, including Ukraine, associated with the Iranian ballistic rocket and drone production program. Among them are Bahram Tabibi, who, utilizing Ukrainian companies specified as GK Imperativ Ukraine LLC and the LLC Ecofera, supplied components for Iran's unmanned production. The sanctions aim to prevent Iran from acquiring key components without which the improvement of unmanned systems will be very difficult.
Particular attention was paid to the network of suppliers supporting Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA), liable for the production of Shahed drones. The production of these unmanned aircraft has become a key component of Iranian support for Russia, which uses them to attack Ukraine.
The Ukrainian company ‘GC Imperative Ukraine’ was registered in 2018 in Kharkov and operates commercial activities. The company is owned by Iranian citizen Tabibi Jabali Bahram. However, there is no information in the public domain about Ecofer. Union Service claims that there are companies with very akin names which any media misidentify as the same company subject to sanctions.
Let us remember: since 2022 Iran has provided Russia with Shahed drones, which are then utilized to attack Ukraine. These deliveries were peculiarly crucial in the years 2022-23, until the Russian Federation launched the production of their modified counterparts at home.
According to the Ukrainian side, the method analysis of the “Shahads” shot down in Ukraine, both in Iranian and Russian versions, showed that the most complex components utilized in these drones, specified as electronics, sensors or control systems, come from European countries, as well as from North America and East Asia. That's why she demanded sanctions on these companies. At the same time, Kiev tolerated the fact that its own companies co-operated with Iran and Russia, delivering components to these countries even after the invasion of February 24, 2022.
OUR COMMENTS: Ukrainian hypocrisy can be compared only to its judaic counterpart.
