Elżbieta Witek categorically denied that she was utilizing her political position to influence the provision of a seat for her husband in the ICU in Legnica. The erstwhile talker of the Sejm stressed that decisions concerning medical care were made solely on medical grounds alternatively than on political grounds.

"I've never interfered in cases involving my husband's treatment, nor have I put force on medical personnel," Witek said in a conversation with journalists.
