U.S. legislature passes government backing bill

The U.S. legislature voted in favour of the draft US government backing bill, which means that the draft will go to the final approval phase where the paper will gotta get a simple majority.

The consequence of a procedural vote in the legislature was the biggest intrigue, as 60 senators were needed to adopt the bill. The Republican organization presently controls only 53 out of 100 seats, so without votes at least 7 members of the Democratic organization the bill could not be adopted.

If the vote is negative, the United States may face the closure of the national government as early as 23:59 east Time (4:59 Warsaw time on Saturday), which would be the first specified case in the current word of Donald Trump's administration.

Initially, members of the Democratic organization opposed a bill that was previously approved by the home of Representatives. On Thursday evening, however, number leader Chuck Schumer at the legislature called for this bill to be adopted in order to avoid the government being shut down, resulting in a divided in the Democratic ranks.

Following a procedural vote, the bill goes to the final Senators' vote, where a simple majority is required. If the consequence is positive, the paper will be sent to Trump for signature, which will supply government backing by 30 September 2025.

The bill increases US defence spending by $6 billion this fiscal year, while reducing non-defensive spending by $13 billion.

The bill besides provides for an additional allocation of $485 million to the Immigration and Customs Service (ICE) to support the activities of this agency to deport illegal immigrants. At the same time, the backing of defence programs for atomic non-proliferation will be reduced by $185 million and the backing of the United States Army Engineering Corps, which was utilized to aid hurricane victims and floods, will be reduced by $1.4 billion.

Democrats criticized the bill, fearing that if it was adopted, Trump would have more power to redistribute government funds at his discretion.

If legislature fails to pass the bill by the end of the day on Friday, March 14, the United States will face partial closure of the national government. According to CNN, about 900,000 national workers will be forced to take free leave. Another 1.4 million people may inactive be working, but many of them will not be paid.
