Tusk announces the reconstruction of the government and the renegotiation of the coalition agreement

Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced changes in government after the presidential election. In an interview with TVP Info admitted that he intended to reduce the size of the cabinet to increase its efficiency. He besides announced the renegotiation of the coalition agreement, stressing that any of the coalition's objectives had not been met.

Smaller but more efficient government

– Yeah, although I want these emotions to go down for the next fewer days. said Tusk, asked about the reconstruction of the government. He added that in June he would return to talks with coalition partners to establish a fresh cabinet shape.

Abortion – Are changes possible?

In the context of possible liberalisation of abortion law in the event of a win by Rafał Trzaskowski, Tusk expressed caution. – There will surely not be any blockade from Trzaskowski as regards these alleged pro-female demands – he said.

However, he stressed that the subject of abortion is simply a strong emotion and requires compromise. – I truly don't like these extremist pro-abortion and anti-abortion attitudes. I'd love to be civilized to make a female make a decision, but there's no sense that everything is allowed until the last week of pregnancy. – he said.

Prime Minister added that "radical positions harm a good solution"which could be acceptable to most people.
