Tusk addressed president Erdogan with a “clear” proposal: “Historic breakthrough”

Prime Minister Donald Tusk visited Ankara, where he met with Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In the context of the situation in Ukraine, Tusk noted:

“Like Turkey, Poland wants peace and truce as shortly as possible.”

He besides added that both countries want to conclude a “fair peace” and positively measure the effects of the first phase of Saudi Arabia talks between the US and Ukraine.

The Prime Minister reported that he had asked president Erdoğan with a “one-significant” proposal that Turkey take on “as much work as possible for the peace process, guarantees of stableness and safety throughout our region.”

“Today, during our conversation, we confirmed that Polish-Turkish friendship, close cooperation in the field of defence, the economy, the resolution of geopolitical dilemmas has very strong and lasting foundations. Our long-standing relationship and trust are important. We built this trust by working together for respective years. present it is worth using, due to the fact that it is simply a priceless gift in politics, erstwhile nations, states and leaders who have never failed each other, can work together," said Tusk. – We are ready to cooperate with our Turkish defence and defence partners”

He besides expressed Poland's willingness to cooperate with Turkey in the field of defence and defence industry. In conclusion, Tusk stated:

“I don’t think I can exaggerate if I say that present we have made a historical breakthrough.”

President Erdoğan stressed that Turkey and Poland have “two largest land troops in NATO and Europe” and are “key allies on the east and confederate flank of the alliance.”

He besides declared Turkey's readiness to supply area for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, saying:
