Podkarpackie maker of ultralight aircraft Ecolot eliminates operations after 30 years of marketplace operation. Her boss blames the actions of the Tusk government. – This can be called economical sabotage – told portal Interia.pl.

Tusk destroyed another Polish company. Ecolot was founded in 1995 in Krosno, Podkarpacie. He was the only company in our country to make ultralight aircraft of a mass not exceeding 600 kg. He had besides much for his products not only in Poland, but throughout Europe, and even on another continents. Meanwhile, at the end of March, Henryk Słowik, founder of Ecolot, directed an open letter to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in which he demanded the cessation of the demolition of his company by duties.

“The author explained that he could no longer run the company due to the activities of state institutions: the civilian Aviation Authority and the Customs and taxation Office in Przemyśl. The first pointed out that he had waited besides long for her to get certification of the aircraft model. Second, that the Chinese imported production material imposed as much as 125 % anti-dumping work to defend against unfair price competition’ – reports Interia.

The Nightingale noted that the material imported by the company from China is not available in the European Union. After a long period of time, officials changed the explanation of the rules, considering that the material was subject to anti-dumping duties. Despite an earlier request for assistance addressed to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Nightingale claims he did not receive support.

In his opinion, the activities of the National taxation Administration can be called “economic sabotage”. “What is the point of bringing the company to bankruptcy and closing down? I paid PLN 500,000 to ZUS alone. I am Polish, I want to work here, Ekolot is simply a native company, there is no another company in the country in this industry. We have produced almost 300 aircraft over the years” said Nightingale.

The owner besides complained about the civilian Aviation Authority. Ecolot designed the Topaz 600 aircraft, the starting mass of which is 600 kg (including fuel and passengers). The Nightingale claims that after talks with ULC, he was convinced that the Topaz 600 certification process would run rapidly and smoothly. On this basis, he accepted the first orders, produced aircraft, but despite the passing of respective months, he is incapable to sale them to customers as the decision has inactive not arrived.

The civilian Aviation Authority (ULC) stated that there are many inaccuracies and incorrect information in Henry Nightingale's open letter. It argues that the results of the stress tests indicated the request to strengthen 1 of the main structural elements of the aircraft. ULC spokeswoman Marta Chylińska assures that the certification is in the final stage, and the process goes smoothly.

The Authority besides states that the certification of the Topaz aeroplane with a take-off weight of 472 kg lasted 3 years and 2 months. The certification of the ultralight WT9 Dynamic LSA aircraft by the EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) took nearly 7 years. The certificate for Topaz was to be presented on 4 April, but Ecolot stopped production before that date. We're talking bankruptcy.

OUR COMMENTS: Tusk voters are no uncertainty smiling. respective 100 more people will be unemployed on the Podkarpacie they hate. Moreover, the production of tiny machines will yet be able to start again in Germany, without unnecessary competition.
