Even 1.3 1000 Polish vehicles left in Belarus after the border with this country has closed. The Ministry of Infrastructure declares its willingness to aid the drivers return to Poland. This is the consequence of the reckless decision of the Tusk government, who abruptly closed the border with Belarus, reasoning that drivers would return to Poland, driving through Lithuania or Latvia.

The government closed the border crossing with Belarus in connection with the Russian-Belarusian military exercises of Zapad-25 until further notice. The Ministry stressed that the information on the closure of the border with Belarus on 12 September was publically announced to Prime Minister Donald Tusk on 9 September, and a regulation was issued a day later.
‘The information obtained from the KAS and the SG shows that all vehicles which were submitted for clearance on 11.09. were checked out; no vehicle remained in line for clearance on the Belarusian side at the time of entry of the border lock’ — indicated the ministry. Trucks crossed the Polish-Belarusian border “practically to the last minute”, added.

According to information from the Belarusian services, after closing border crossings through the Polish side in Belarus, there are to stay 1453 Polish trucks.
