U.S. president Donald Trump said that in the next 2 to 3 weeks the U.S. authorities will begin to notify countries that have not concluded trade agreements with Washington of the amount of customs duties for operating in the US market.

"We have 150 countries that want to make a deal at the same time, but it is impossible to meet them all. So I think in a fewer weeks Scott (Bessent, U.S. Treasury Secretary – ed.) and Howard (Lutnick, US Trade Secretary – ed.) will start sending letters. We will be honest, but we will let you know how much you gotta pay to run business in the United States," Trump said, speaking at a business gathering in Abu Dhabi.

The postponement of duties, imposed on 9 April for 90 days, was transferred to countries for negotiation. Trump said the rate of contracting was besides slow, and without contracts there would be standard duties that could have been up to 50%
