U.S. president Donald Trump said the speech of his conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin was “great” and noted that Russia was curious in large-scale trade with the United States after the conflict in Ukraine ended.
As the president himself later said, his conversation with Trump lasted over 2 hours.
“The speech and spirit of the conversation was perfect. If that were not the case, I would say so now alternatively than later," wrote the president of the United States on his actual social networking site.
Trump besides noted that Russia is curious in large-scale trade with the United States after the Ukrainian conflict ended.
“Russia wants to trade on a large scale with the United States after the end of this disastrous 'bloodbath', and I agree. Russia has a large chance to make a immense number of jobs and wealth. Its possible is unlimited," added the American leader.
Trump said on May 17 that he was planning to have a telephone conversation with Putin on May 19. Russian President's spokesperson Dmitri Pieskov had previously said that the head of state would have a telephone conversation with the American leader on Monday at 17:00 Moscow time, calling it crucial in the context of talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul on 16 May.
