U.S. president Donald Trump personally ordered the cancellation of the Pentagon press conference, at which the billionaire and head of the U.S. Government's Department of Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk was to uncover Washington's secret plans in the event of a conflict with China," claims the Axios portal, citing a high-ranking official.
Earlier in the fresh York Times, citing anonymous sources, he reported that during his visit Musk was expected to learn about U.S. secret plans in the event of a conflict with China, which raised concerns about the safety of his business interests in China. Trump and defence secretary Hegseth powerfully denied the veracity of the reports.
“What the hell is Musk doing here? Make certain he doesn't come," Trump quotes the source, pointing out that the president “personally ordered his staff to cancel” the meeting.
According to him, the American president “still loves Elon very much”, but he besides has any “red lines”.
At the same time, while commenting on the situation earlier, Trump stated that he would "never allow" specified data to be disclosed to Musk, given their confidential nature. Musk himself said he hoped to hold the Penal Officers of the Pentagon accountable, who would give the fresh York Times false information.
