US president Donald Trump wrote on the social media platform fact Social that "countries around the world" turn to the US to negociate cAnd Japan has already sent negotiators.
"Countrys around the planet negociate with us. We set strict but fair conditions," Trump wrote.
He noted that in peculiar Japan is already sending a negotiating squad to the US to discuss customs duties. Trump besides said he had an earlier interview with nipponese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Monday.
"The nipponese responded very negatively to (changes in – ed.) trade with the US. They don't buy our cars, and we buy their cars with millions. The same applies to agriculture and many another things. All this must change, especially with respect to China," Trump said.
Earlier, Ishiba said he would like to visit the United States as shortly as possible to solve the problem of imposing duties on nipponese goods. The nipponese Prime Minister called the situation of the US's imposition of duties a national crisis. On Friday, he said he was considering having a telephone conversation with Trump about the imposition of duties.
Trump had previously signed a decree to impose mirror duties on imports from abroad, for Japan they will amount to 24 percent. He besides signed an order to impose 25% customs duties on imports of passenger cars, light trucks and car parts from 3 April, saying that specified a measurement was essential to defend "national security".
