In the face of the threat, activists of the Opole Confederation decided to collect data on the number of protective structures in the Opole state in case of an attack by Russia.
The situation which has been taking place in Ukraine for many months shows that the times of peace have ended. safety is not only provided by modern military equipment, which Poland is presently trying to acquire. Attention should be paid to ensuring the safety of civilians. We are at the border of the scope of the Iskander rockets (from the Kings and Belarus). These are short-range ballistic missiles. They can carry an atomic warhead of up to 50 kT TNT (a bit more than 3 times as much as an atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima). These missiles, mostly armed with conventional warheads up to 700kg (480-700kg). As a Confederate, we believe that the Polish government is not doing anything to increase the number of shelters that could sufficiently guarantee full safety for civilians in the event of attacks from Russia.
It is clear from the data of the Department of safety and Emergency Management of the Provincial Office in Opole that Opolans cannot feel safe. We're moving out of places where in the event of rocket attacks, The Opolans could take shelter.
On 6 April this year, a conference was held at the office of the General office of the State Fire Service, during which the Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik, together with the Chief Commandant of the PSP, Brigadier General Andrzej Bartkowiak, presented the results of the nationwide inventory of buildings and buildings utilized to shelter the population.
The data provided show that:
