It shows that you can win without being divorced. You can win in a divided society, against mainstream media, without selling your ideals. You can win by moving more to the right due to the fact that that was the run against the erstwhile one, and that was JD Vance's nomination against the background of erstwhile Vice president Mike Pence.
It's hard not to look at this triumph with hope.
